I won't call polymers my passion, but they are definitely my bread and butter. A tribute to my Annapoorna.....Polymers!

Making bonds is a difficult task ,maintaining them is a tougher ask.
But with macromolecules at play, imagination has room to sway!
Being extremely versatile, God's choice materials were they.
He created the entire living nature, with protiens like DNA.
Their complex chains touch every aspect , and make our life simple.
Their lightness commands respect, the scope for application is ample.
Coffee cups and buckets ,to insulated tiles for rockets.
Colorful food packets,to sophesticated tennis racquets.
Intricate packaging for IC chips, to intelligent lego bricks.
Biomedically implanted hips, to artificial nails for chicks.
Artificial gel soil, to to pharmaceutics and catheters.
Housings for computers , to decorative auto interiors.
I am truly surprised, by the spectrum they envisage.
Their range of applications, is truly very large.
But like every fair coin, they too have the other side.
They demand some restrictions, that all of us must abide.
They are petroleum products, so they too drink oil.
Their prices too are rising, with the deepening crisis of oil.
Though mostly inactive, they too are a chemical.
So we must make sure, that their usage is ethical.
When people use them improperly, we cry foul about plastic waste.
The ban plastics slogan on occasions, always leaves a bad taste.
So lets reuse and recycle, since most of them refuse to degrade.
Responsible disposal is an obligation, that we shouldn't evade.
Since if we commit a wrong, even angels wear a demon's mask.
Afterall making bonds is a difficult task, maintaining them a tougher ask!

Iti shri bahulakaya stotram sampoornam!
