Thanksgiving is a big festival here in the US. The Fall season is over and winter is fast approaching during this period of time.Great to have a long weekend off from work and a good time to relax.It is time for turkey dinners and pumpkin pies. But the main feature of this festival is the big thanksgiving season discounts, deals and goodies in almost all the shops around the country.
Just thought why not write about that for a change!!

Time for a shopping spree!!!

The colors of fall are over,
And foliage off the trees,
Snowfall is soon approaching,
It's time for a shopping spree!

The turkeys cook up in the grill
Pumpkin pies are all I smell
Today's thanksgiving eve
Tomorrow is the shopping spree!

I check all deals online
I go through all brochures
I check which shop is selling free
On the day of the shopping spree!

I wake up at four in the morning,
And drive to where the crowds throng
I fight to get into a parking in the rain
God help me the queue is too long!

Doors open at five as promised,
All people rush into the shop,
Each person has one thing in mind
Just shop, shop till you drop!

With laptops and cameras and ipods,
Out there for costs so cheap
The rush does not allow at all
A single benefit for me to reap!

I still buy lots of stuff
Though I don't get anything for free
No regrets it's thanksgiving friday
Time for a shopping spree!!
